We stand behind the quality and authenticity of every product we sell. Our return policy reflects our commitment to customer satisfaction while respecting the unique nature of our handcrafted Ghanaian cultural products. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase and to feel confident when shopping with us.
2. Return Eligibility and Timeframe
You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided the items meet our return conditions. The 30-day period begins from the date you receive your order, as confirmed by delivery tracking information. To be eligible for return, items must be in their original condition, unworn, unused, and with all original tags, labels, and packaging intact. Items should be free from any odors, stains, or signs of wear.
3. Items Eligible for Return
The following items can be returned within our standard return period. Ready-to-wear Kente clothing items including shirts, dresses, skirts, and accessories can be returned if they are in original condition. Kente fabric by the yard is returnable if it remains uncut and in original packaging. Traditional accessories such as bags, jewelry, and decorative items are eligible for return if unused and in original condition. Home decor items including Kente runners, cushions, and wall hangings can be returned if they show no signs of use or installation.
4. Items Not Eligible for Return
Certain items cannot be returned due to their personalized nature or hygiene considerations. Custom-made or personalized Kente items created to your specific measurements or design preferences cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or significantly different from your specifications. Intimate apparel and undergarments cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged by the customer are not eligible for return. Sale items marked as “Final Sale” cannot be returned unless they arrive defective. Gift cards and digital products are non-returnable.

Please provide your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for your return. Our team will provide you with a return authorization number and detailed return instructions within 24-48 hours. Package your items securely in their original packaging when possible, include all original tags and accessories, and clearly write the return authorization number on the outside of the package.
6. Return Shipping and Costs
For returns within Ghana, customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error, damage during shipping, or a defective product. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping your shipping receipt until your return is processed. For international returns, customers bear the return shipping costs and are responsible for any customs duties or taxes associated with the return shipment. We will provide guidance on the most cost-effective return shipping methods for your location.
7. Processing Returns and Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it within 3-5 business days to ensure it meets our return conditions. If your return is approved, we will process your refund within 7-10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. For mobile money payments, refunds will be processed directly to your mobile money account. For international payments via Visa, Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe, refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank or payment provider.
8. Exchanges and Store Credit
If you prefer an exchange rather than a refund, we will be happy to help you find a suitable replacement item of equal or lesser value. If the replacement item costs more than the original, you will be charged the difference. If it costs less, the difference will be refunded to you. Alternatively, you may choose to receive store credit for the full value of your returned item, which can be used for future purchases and does not expire. Store credit cannot be redeemed for cash but can be applied to any product on our website.
9. Damaged or Defective Items
We take great care in packaging and shipping our products, but occasionally items may arrive damaged or defective. If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at support@daksfab.com with photos of the damage and your order number. We will arrange for immediate replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping if necessary. For damaged items, we may ask you to dispose of the damaged product rather than return it, depending on the nature of the damage.
10. Quality Guarantee
All our Kente products are handcrafted by skilled Ghanaian artisans using traditional techniques. Minor variations in pattern, color, or texture are natural characteristics of handmade items and are not considered defects. However, if you believe your item does not meet our quality standards or differs significantly from the product description, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will work with you to resolve any quality concerns fairly and promptly.
11. International Returns Considerations
For customers outside Ghana, please be aware that return shipping times may be longer due to international postal services and customs processing. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees associated with returning items to Ghana. We recommend checking with your local postal service about international return procedures and costs before initiating a return. We will do our best to accommodate international returns and provide guidance on the most efficient return process.
